What is LINKEDIN PREMIUM on my bank statement?

This is a LinkedIn Premium subscription — the paid tier of the LinkedIn professional networking platform, owned by Microsoft.

LinkedIn Premium

✓ Legitimate charge

LINKEDIN*PREMIUM or LINKEDIN is a monthly or annual charge for LinkedIn Premium — the paid tier of LinkedIn, the professional networking site owned by Microsoft.

LinkedIn offers several Premium tiers: Premium Career (see who viewed your profile, InMail credits, LinkedIn Learning courses — most popular for job seekers), Premium Business (business insights, more InMail), Sales Navigator (advanced lead generation for sales professionals), and Recruiter (talent sourcing tools). Each has a different price point.

LinkedIn frequently offers free 1-month trials which automatically convert to paid subscriptions. This is one of the most common reasons people see unexpected LinkedIn charges — especially if they signed up during a job search and forgot to cancel.

Questions about LinkedIn charges

Can I get a refund for LinkedIn Premium?
LinkedIn's standard policy doesn't offer refunds for subscription fees. However, if you were charged immediately after forgetting to cancel a free trial, contact LinkedIn support — they sometimes offer a one-time refund as goodwill. Be aware that using Premium features (InMail, learning courses) makes a refund less likely.
Is LinkedIn Premium worth it?
This depends on your situation. For active job seekers, Premium Career can be useful for seeing who viewed your profile and using InMail to contact recruiters directly. For most casual LinkedIn users, the free version is sufficient. LinkedIn Learning (included with Premium) has thousands of courses and may alone justify the cost if you'd pay for courses elsewhere.
Why did LinkedIn charge me annually?
LinkedIn offers annual billing at a discount compared to monthly billing. If you selected annual billing when subscribing, you'll see one larger charge per year. Log into Settings & Privacy → Subscriptions to check your billing frequency. You can sometimes switch to monthly billing from there.
