Questions about Microsoft charges

How do I cancel Microsoft 365?
Go to account.microsoft.com/services, find Microsoft 365 in your list of subscriptions, and click Cancel. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. If you're on annual billing, you may be eligible for a prorated refund if you cancel within the first 30 days.
What is XBOXLIVE on my bank statement?
XBOXLIVE is Xbox Live Gold, Microsoft's online multiplayer subscription for Xbox consoles. It allows you to play games online with other people. Microsoft has also integrated Xbox Live Gold into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so if you upgraded, your billing may now appear differently.
My child signed up for Xbox Game Pass — can I cancel it?
Yes. If your card is linked to a Microsoft account that a child used, you can cancel the subscription at account.microsoft.com/services. Microsoft's Family Safety tools allow you to set up spending limits for child accounts to prevent future unauthorised purchases.
Why is Microsoft charging me annually?
Microsoft offers discounted annual billing for most of its subscriptions. Annual plans are cheaper per month but charge a larger sum once a year. Check account.microsoft.com/services to see your billing frequency and switch to monthly if you prefer smaller regular payments.
