TRAINLINE or THE TRAINLINE on your bank statement is a charge for train, coach, or Eurostar tickets bought through the Trainline app or website. Trainline is the UK's largest independent rail ticket retailer, and most UK rail users will have used it at some point to buy tickets for domestic journeys, as well as services to Europe via Eurostar. It is a one-off purchase — Trainline has no subscription and no recurring fees.
The amount on your statement may be slightly higher than the raw ticket price. Trainline charges a small booking fee — typically around £1 per transaction — which is added on top of the fare set by the train operator. This fee applies once per booking regardless of how many passengers are travelling, so if you bought tickets for multiple people in one go, only a single fee is added. The booking fee is shown on the payment screen before you confirm.
If you booked for multiple passengers or multiple separate journeys in a single session, all charges are grouped into one payment on your statement.
